Any Odinists, Asatru, or Heathens still post here?
Re: Any Odinists, Asatru, or Heathens still post here?
I'm brand new here but I'll stick my hand up anyway...
I consider myself Northern Tradition rather than Heathen. I don't call myself Heathen because I'm not re-constructionist and I don't really fit into the Heathen category properly, but I see I'm not the only one. lol

I've never identified as any of the above, but my own family history comes down from Sweden, my surname ends in 'sson' and I consider myself quite adept at all things runes. Always been drawn north and still interested in learning more!

RIP
I have never been across the way
Seen the desert and the birds
You cut your hair short
Like a shush to an insult
The world had been yelling
Since the day you were born
Revolting with anger
While it smiled like it was cute
That everything was shit.

I've been an Odinsman for nearly as long as I can remember, before I had any idea what that even really was.

For the Yule was upon them, the Yule; and they quaffed from the skulls of the slain,
And shouted loud oaths in hoarse wit, and long quaffing swore laughing again.

Frankish Paganism falls under this category so yes! Not many follow my particular "variation" of Germanic Paganism. I simply felt a pull towards the indigenous beliefs of some of my ancestors. That is why Frankish Germanic Paganism specifically resonates with me.

My ethics are of the Nordic tradition, and being Icelandic I will pray to Odin or whoever when I need to but I tend to look at them from a Jungian point of view.
