Putting aside what the word 'religion' implies according to the English language, I think religion means a way of life. Which is why I prefer the Arabic word deen.
In that sense you can include Atheism for example in that definition.[4:82]Comment

I would say that religion is the belief in and worship of something bigger than you are, whether that be a god, a pantheon of gods, or even just a concept.Comment
