That's true. We do get a lot of rain. And generally have a high humidity... I think I prefer that though. After 7 months in winter boots and 6 layers of clothing, it's always a relief when spring comes and I can drop the 4 scarves.
We've had around 10-15 degrees for the past week. They're saying we might graze 20 next week. It's amazing.

I'm so jealous. We've had snow on the ground since September, and I'm so done with winter. This one has been cold(er) and harsh(er) than the past few winters.

I've only escaped thrice - one week in October when I visited my mom in Vancouver, one week in november when I went to Ireland for my bday, and one week in Mexico in February when I visited my grandparents.

I want the sun AND warmer weather. None of this sunny but colder than hell business. Gah.

        Still blizzarding here.

We had about 10 inches yesterday, and today, snow and ice rain are falling from the up-above.

School tomorrow has already been canceled. I'm currently accepting bets that school will be canceled for Tuesday as well.

You can keep that snow stuff! Friday night we had heavy storms, and tornadoes about 50 miles away. The wknd. was cold (30s). Today 50s and then up to the normal 60s & 70s and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Traded my bar shift on Friday in favour of attending a 4:20 party.

Now I only have to work 12 hours on Friday, instead of 19!

My surgery is coming up on Thursday. Real nervous, but I'm sure everything is going to go well. Have to get a CT scan done tomorrow.

Have I mentioned recently that I like Pope Francis?
Life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

Oh, you mean the pope who won't apologize for the Catholic involvement in residential schools?

                  F*** that pope.

More seriously, I'm moderately curious over his reasoning. I've seen elements of what Canadian Bishops say went into it but I have issues with their logic.

The scan isn't bad, I've had one done. And done a few too (used to work in a hospital). If you don't like the machinery or you're a bit claustrophobic try to close your eyes and do a quick meditation or just sing a song in your head and focus on your breathing, it'll be fine. Nothing about it is dangerous, the things they might inject are completely harmless too.
Sure the surgery will be just fine too! Good luck

I'm getting that Ancestry DNA thing done (the wait is a bit long so I'm not sure if I've mentioned it on here before) but I find it interesting and I'm excited. It was a birthday gift. Anyway, I'm working on my family tree in the mean time and came across an ancestor from the early 1400's whose last name was Llewelyn and giggled a little.
We are what we are. Nothing more, nothing less. There is good and evil among every kind of people. It's the evil among us who rule now. -Anne Bishop, Daughter of the Blood

I wondered if he could ever understand that it was a blessing, not a sin, to be graced with more than one love.
It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.
Still, it was a blessing I would never relinquish. Love, genuine love, was always a cause for joy.

Had my surgery yesterday and all went well. I was hungry and thirsty when I went in and they gave me something to drink when I woke up. The table was frigging tiny. I don't know how they did the surgery. I'm a heavy girl, not bulging over the table heavy, but still. The surgery time was 7:00 and it was about 7:00 when I got in. Everyone was so nice there. On the way home my dad got me a milkshake from Sheetz (not the one where I work at) and I drank it down on the way home. Felt so good after not having a lot to drink. Right now I'm in a lot of pain. They got me on pain pills and I am hoping that it will help me get over the pain I am feeling soon. Just pray for me if you can.
