Hello everyone! Found this website from a google search. I'm 26 yr old, married, mother of 2 little girls. My husband and I were both raised Christian. But have not identified as such for quite some time. A few years back we began studying paganism some to learn more about it. We both felt drawn to it, but unsure of what specific place. We dropped the studying for awhile and forgot about it. Then in the same night had very vivid dreams about gods/goddesses. Me, of the Roman Gods/Goddesses. My husband of the Norse. I am part Italian and my husband is Swedish/Norwegian and he seems to think that's interesting and makes sense. I suppose. I am sure the dreams might have meant nothing. But they have stuck with us.
Our youth, fear of our families reactions, and life in general has kept us from doing much about religion since that time. But now that we are married, with children of our own, and so much pressure to raise our children "right" (in the Christian religion) we are finally realizing it's time to stop hiding and start learning and practicing our true beliefs fully.
This Holiday will be more of a Yule celebration than Christmas for us. Since our girls are so young(both under 2 yet) they won't know the difference or miss anything.
I'm excited to keep learning and finding my place. I believe spirituality is a continual process of learning and growing. Hoping to have some interesting discussions and conversations here. Glad to be here, and hope all of you are doing well.
Welcome! I hope you enjoy it here. There are lots of threads for answering questions and for different paths, so I hope you find something that helps you.
Welcome aboard. We've got several active Heathens and a I think we have several who've studied Roman beliefs running around but I'm less certain of that (Greek, definitely but Rome has some distinctions of its own so I'm not willing to lump them together right now).
Life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.
Yoda: Dark Rendezvous
"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."
Hello and welcome to PF! I had *something* I intended to say...........but I just woke up from a nap (the whole family has had the crud) and I'm not entirely sure what it was, or how to formulate the words in a way that makes the coherent or something like that... My brain is just sort of like *wuh?*
Hey everyone, just joined because the old site I used to go to (mysticwicks.com) has been down for forever, and this seems like a great community .
As I am searching my scattered thoughts for something to write about myself, I guess i'll say that I am 16, live in a small town in Kansas. I don't really talk about religion much but maybe that is because my parents are extremely close minded Catholics; like most people around here.
I love the spring and fall. I always like to go out and ride my bicycle/atv around the trails and in the woods. Usually in winter I end up gaining 20 pounds because I stay inside and eat.
Well, thats about all I can think of, so have a great day/night everyone
