I suppose this will be the typical beginners piece. Sorry for that. Well, best to keep it short.
I am here primarily to figure out where I should best go from where I am at. Also here to learn and meet others.
I have held naturalistic ideals for a long time, been interested in mythology, and felt a connection to nature. However, only recently realised I could actually believe in such things. (Feel free to say "Duh!" at will. All I know is that I know nothing.)
I am an aspiring inventor, with interests ranging from space exploration to nuclear transmutation to herbology to mechanics to green energy and eco-village ideas.
Poet and (After a few things in life are straight) writer.
Do not know which path to focus on (Stuck between Druid, Native American, and Wicca) so all I can say is I'm an Animist.
Believes in - Spirits, Dragons, Elements, Seven Fires Prophecy, Old Man Winter, not sure what else
Heritage - Scots-Irish, Romani, Austrian, Native American.
But they were doughnuts of darkness. Evil damned doughnuts, tainted by the spawn of darkness.... Which could obviously only be redeemed by passing through the fiery inferno of my digestive tract.

Hello and welcome! Feel free to come in and have a look around, this is a wonderful place with so many scources for learning. I have learned so much in my little stint here, and not just from the wealth of knowledge stored here, but from the scources here as well which span so many different areas, and cover so many different things.

Hello, good people of paganforum I am a truth seeker who was raised in a strict Orthodox Christian family, but found that many of the tenants of the religion (particularly the homophobia, denial of evolution, and demand to unquestioningly follow its dogma) were off putting to me. I became a hardcore atheist for a while... or at least tried, but there was always a deep part of me that was very drawn to the transcendent and spiritual, and certain experiences in my life made it quite difficult for me to entirely shrug off the notion of a spiritual realm. I've softened to a sort of agnostic who believes in a greater, all connecting consciousness that realizes itself through living beings. I've been reading up on paganism lately, and have found that I just may have some kindred spirits in this community. I find it all very fascinating, and many pagan teachings are very similar to my own ideas. If anyone has any suggestions about reading material I would appreciate it very much.
Namaste.
