It was very good. My girlfriend is Scottish and she gave it the thumbs up too.

I didn't think there was anything special about it. I actually couldn't finish it when I tried watching it on the plane. Glad I didn't pay to see it like I was originally planning to.

I thought it was great. So much so I bought the DVD. I loved Merida's Mum.

                  Re: Disney/Pixar's "Brave"

Definitely not changing the face of Disney, as evidenced by making Merida up when they added her to the official princess roster, but it's a step.

Beyond that, it was a truly enjoyable movie, with none of the expected goopy romance so part-and-parcel to Disney films. I loved the interaction between mother and daughter (so familiar!) and the bits of the past we see that help make the characters more real.

Overall, probably one of my favorite Disney movies to date.

I am yet to see it but after seeing the great reviews here I think I will buy myself a copy!

My daughter calls Brave the "mama show" and I really think she believes its about me. So as I bet you can guess, we love it.
