Another possibility is that the twitch could be a reaction to a facial injury of some sort. I had a really bad fall (even by my standards) last September and the twitch near my upper lip made me look as though I was sneering all the time...
Thalassa: I had considered that it was stress but I'm at a loss as to how to bring my stress level down. I medicate and do relaxation techniques but it seems like my whole life works against the work that I do to relax. I am even on an anti-anxiety medication due to it.
Do you have anywhere you can go outside at regularly? Green space does wonders for reducing stress... Also, sleep (though you don't need 18 hours), just getting the recommended 8 hours regularly can do wonders as well.
...and I know that your job is a source of stress from the other thread, but unfortunately, jobs=money=food, so that can be tricky.
I have a space. Actually quite a few. Lately, however, I've had little time to go to any of them, let alone the energy. As for sleep, I get some. Maybe 4 - 6 hours. But I'm a stay at home dad. I am up when the kid is up, and up late because the lady of the house often has a closing shift.

I'd say it could be worse but it probably couldn't. Except it's genetic so your family could get it then you could.. I should stop while I'm ahead. It's probably not that anyway.
