      Check history. Every time there is a big, publicized, white/black issue like this, if the white man is found not guilty, there are riots. In the eyes of many people, the white man is always guilty, even when a jury his peers says he isn't.

            I find it difficult to understand how anyone can describe Mr Zimmerman as an "innocent man" when there is no doubt that he did, indeed, kill Trayvon Martin. If anyone's lives have been ruined in this case, surely it is those of Trayvon Martin and his family and friends.

            (I've been lurking here for a while, and like the forum, but I've never felt moved to post before).

              There's some debate regarding the why of the killing. You can kill someone and legally be innocent of murder. As is, shrug, I have issues with Zimmerman but I'm not the jury, I'm not paying attention to the trial and I've little desire to change either of those facts. The man's fate will be decided by twelve of his peers and that settles most of my give a **** regarding the matter.

                I happen to largely agree with this. Its not the killing of him that makes him guilty, its the fact that he purposely and purposefully went after Trayvon Martin who wasn't actually doing anything wrong. If he was getting his ass whupped, it was his own fault. Bottom line, there was no "problem" until Zimmerman showed up and created it.

                The other problem I have with how this dumb ass state handles things is this case. Apparently if you are black, and a woman, you can't "stand your ground" even if you at least didn't kill anyone.

                    As I see these things,it is less about the fact of George Zimmerman Killing Travon,but more about the validity of the "Stand your ground" Law. The man in question is being tried because it seems he might not have been able to invoke that law. The outcome will depend more on the proof of G.Z being a victim rather than an aggressor. If indeed he started the confrontation then it would seem that Travon was the one standing HIS ground.
