So while walking to get a bagel at Einstein Brother's bagel place (awesome cranberry bagels!) I saw some leaves with frost! That's like snow, right? Oh and my face froze walking home this evening. I looked like either Mrs Clause or a cocaine user.

Medusa, you're reminding me of my freshman year at college ('75-'76). There were a few girls in my dorm from Puerto Rico and other such places, who'd never seen snow before. One November night it started coming down and a few of us went and woke those girls up - they ran outside and were in sheer wonderment! Then they all lined up at the pay phone to call their parents and tell them. I couldn't believe anyone could be 18 and had never seen snow! Seems like only yesterday. One of them was a ballet dancer - I can still picture her dancing out there in the snow, under the streetlight. Whenever I hear Elton John's "Tiny Dancer", that's what I see.

You need to have a good snowball fight!!!! And experience walking in it. It's one of those things you can't really explain, like walking barefoot in sand - you just have to do it.

It is now cold and wet (so pretty typical for my part of the world.) Not freezing you understand, just a constant, cold driving rain that gets you soaked and you can't get dry again (I mean, has anyone SEEN UK fuel bills???)

So a trip to the outside loo (yes, we still have them too) is really a bit of a walk on the wild side.

Which might explain why, in the four word story thread on the forum, I seem obsessed with bowels and toilets...
