Re: Medusa's Quesion du jour (the year of the horse edition!)

When was 13 I fell in love with both Madonna and siouxsie from siouxsie and the banshees. That meant that I used to wear tube skirts in bright red. With a black tank top. Lace half crop shirt over that and jelly shoes. These shoes would burn your feet during the summer and make them smell something wicked. Oh and my face? I would do matte forest green eyeshadow. But done in the shape she did them. With the Cleopatra wing. And probably purple or blue lipstick.

I also would crank call people in the yellow pages randomly. Telling them they won money from the local radio station. Unawares of how I'm sure they could tell I was a 10 year old on the phone at the time.

Oh I also asked the operator once to cut into a call of my best friend's house. Saying it was an emergency. I don't know if you can do that now, but I did. Because apparently it was important that I talk to my friend right then and now. I was 10. She lived next door.

Yellow pages and home phones for the win!

Popcorn and gummy bears. The gummy bears are mostly for throwing at people who talk.

I actually don't really like popcorn. I get cheesy nachos when I go to a movie.

I wondered if he could ever understand that it was a blessing, not a sin, to be graced with more than one love.
It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.
Still, it was a blessing I would never relinquish. Love, genuine love, was always a cause for joy.

I used to love Muddy Bears (chocolate covered gummi bears) but the Regal Cinemas around here stopped carrying them. I don't really like popcorn (kernels get stuck in my teeth and it hurts), so I usually just go with a pretzel. :/

Soda, popcorn, chocolate mints or sour patch kids if I have cash after the soda and popcorn
Life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

Popcorn with lots (unhealthy lots) of that orange salty stuff, no butter.

Very large Coca Cola (because of all the salt).

Smuggle in a bottle of water (cuz smuggled water is FREE), or, if I absolutely am forced to have a snack, popcorn, no butter.

Usually though, if I'm going around dinner-time, I bring my own dinner in a lunch container and nom away.

Just a giant Coke. I don't like popcorn and I don't normally do snacks at the movies unless hubby wants some lollies (which he usually does). But I drink a lot during movies.

I usually sneak in stuff. I take in skittles or toffee covered peanuts. As for drinks? I take either a bottle of Diet Dr Pepper. Or when I'm in the mood to splurge on sugar I get a cherry or cola icee!

Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.
