Medusa's Quesion du jour (the year of the horse edition!)
What makes you wake up each morning (and we're not talking about your alarm clock)?
My "morning" is actually the evening, and the answer is work.

Figuratively, my alarm clock, or the pitter-patter of my cat's paws on my face as he purrs himself into oblivion (this is a morning ritual of ours). He falls asleep on my face approximately the same time as I need to wake up. Every. Morning.
What do I get out of bed for? (Other than work) - the sound of birds chirping, the sun shining through my window, the first cup of tea in the morning, a early morning bike ride in the summer, etc.

First morning for me is anything after 12 pm since I'm usually night crew. I usually wake up because I have to tinkle. Like I'm dreaming about tinkling and realize I NEED TO TINKLE! Then it's back to bed.
We too often focus on the bad, take a minute to share what you like about yourself?
I had to really think about this. I dislike so much about myself that I struggled to find anything that I "liked" about myself at all. I would have to say that I like the fact that I am unwaveringly loyal to those whom I love and that my capacity to love and to show kindness to others has no limitation.

I have a spiffy mustache, and lovely brown eyes.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

I arise from slumber for tea and good sex. Also because I need to make money, or because a munchkin is shaking on me asking for food or help with something.
And, as for something I like about myself...I have a great personality, and a fine ass (and I only feel comfortable saying this latter bit out loud because I've had it expressed to me upon more than one occasion).

I have the ability to see through people's bullshit (and therefore hate most people). And I'm hot, if you like scruffy bearded guys.
