Carving a pumpkin. It's a pain in the butt & pumpkin guts feel gross between your fingers. And the pumpkin gut shreds get everywhere.

Every nonstrategic board game. The problem is that you can pretty much always find a few people to play Candyland, LIFE, Monopoly or somesuch, but no one wants to play Reversi or Nine Man Morris.

Also, surfing. For that matter, anything that takes a large amount of skill and fitness to do properly. Because I am as coordinated as I am motivated, which is to say not very.
Trust is knowing someone or something well enough to have a good idea of their motivations and character, for good or for ill. People often say trust when they mean faith.

            One cup freshly-squeezed orange juice
A one inch knob of ginger, freshly grated
            Four pressed cloves of garlic

Heat gently, then strain. Very good for colds, as long as you can keep it down.

I've done this before as well, using a cotton ball. Great as long as you make sure the vinegar is well diluted, otherwise a rather short and painful experience.

                Living off the land.

A fine fantasy, but hell on earth if you actually have to do it - or go hungry.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

Staying awake until midnight. And then sleeping until late hours of the morning.

Surprisingly, I actually enjoy carving pumpkins. If it wasn't for the fact that I consider the taste of pumpkin-anything to be absolutely vile, I would probably do it year round.

Um.... Others would probably argue about it, but sometimes I think like a 20 year old person. In other words - older my age.
I think it's the most unique thing in me. Perhaps someone will find something else.

Most people say my religious beliefs when they find out about them. Though obviously not so much around here. Around here? Possibly some of the more conservative viewpoints I have.

Gardening. Though I still love the results.

Rest for a cold. Toothpaste for bug bites. Sweet olive oil for ear infections (I think it's more that it's soothing) Honestly, I almost always try simple things before jumping to medications. Water if I have a headache (part of why they tell you to drink a glass of water with Tylenol/ibuprophen/advil because it helps with a headache as much as the medicine). But that sort of thing.

I wondered if he could ever understand that it was a blessing, not a sin, to be graced with more than one love.
It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.
Still, it was a blessing I would never relinquish. Love, genuine love, was always a cause for joy.
