    That's called persecution and it should never happen to anyone. Ever.

    But history is full of exactly this type of thing, and I very much doubt it will ever get better.

    My advice to you is that if you choose to openly express your beliefs then you need to be prepared for consequences. It sucks, but that is the way of this world.

      Consequence is unavoidable, accepting and planning for it is part of life.

      However, job loss should not typically* be a consequence of failing to conceal one's religion. Companies that attempt to violate this axiom should earn the distinct pleasure of accepting legal and financial consequences for their actions.

      * I make exceptions for some religious positions. For example, requiring the Catholic Church to accept an active and devout Wiccan as one of its own priests with the rights and privileges there-of seems non-sensical, counter-productive and more than a bit ass-holish but, since we're talking about a factory not a parish, I don't think this exception applies.
