Unless you ready every detail of this case to see why she was acquitted, or if she even was. Please don't pull the "Here in the states, things are done the right way!" thing. She could have plead insanity, therefore making her incapable of forming a 'Mens Rea' or guilty mind. Or maybe the kids and her were at equal fault for negligence so they acquitted her.
At any rate neither of our systems are perfect, but they are some of the best on earth for what they do.
