It was the dog thing that bothered me the most with this story, and it did make me wonder if animals could be carriers because that would change the R0, wouldn't it? In yesterday's Post there was a story about all of these children in Liberia who are Ebola orphans now because their parents died. Other family members will not take them for fear of the virus. It broke my heart. Maybe that is all that was going on with the Spanish nurse's dog, though, simply that no one wanted it.
