    Can't stop laughing at this..Carjackers can't drive a stick..

    I thought this was so funny(Not for the highjackers) they could not drive a stick shift(Being old,I can drive one)

    Not sure how many people could drive a stick shift anymore(I BTW loved driving a stick)

            Torey and I drive a stick shift (we only have the one car), as does my sister and my parents. We call them 'manual cars' here and they're still pretty common.

              Hubby loves manual cars, I haven't learned yet. I'll have to learn soon though anyway. It's a bit daunting...

              So yeah, I can imagine how flabbergasted the car thieves must have felt when they were staring at the mechanical workings. ^^

                My first car back in high school was a stick shift... My parents tried so hard to talk me out of it, but at the time you could get a much nicer car for a lot less money if you were willing to drive a stick shift. Don't think that's so much the case anymore; I didn't see nearly as many of them when I was looking for my most recent 'new' used car.

                  interesting thing is now you have to pay extra to get a stick,it being considered a "Sports car" feature....How times change.

                    In Denmark learning to drive a stick shift is mandatory and most normal cars have that, here it's the automatics that are the "rare" ones. So I'm always slightly baffled when I'm reminded that not everyone learns that and that there are places in the world where automatic is the standard.

                      In Australia it's usually cheaper to buy a stick shift! But it's more expensive to hire a stick shift (from a rental car company). I've never looked at the difference in insurance costs, though.
