    The Boy Scouts take back the gays!

    The Boys Scouts of America have un-banned the adult gays!

    knock knock. Would you like to buy some of our delicious sauce?

    I'm thrilled and then I'm still face palmed. When is the world going to get it's shite together and realize gays are you and me. They are in every walk of life. They are just humans. Stop already. Stop pretending they aren't in your line of work. Stop pretending they don't exists except as homosexual porn stars. Stop already.

    But yay!

    My only issue with them now is their stance on atheism.....but the hubby and I already decided to let Sharkbait do Boy Scouts next year, because the answer the change is not usually disengagement.

      Aw, yes! I didn't even see this! And as for what you said about them not realizing, you're so right, and I've wondered about that for years.. I also don't understand why when it's a pair of lesbians guys always shout at them to make out, but when it's guys they call them disgusting. A lot of people say that's just a myth, but it's actually a real thing that happens, I've experienced it firsthand.... talk about a weird double standard.

        Unless it's drastically changed to be a Boy Scout you have to acknowledge a God in some capacity. Granted some places and troops & packs are a bit more forgiving in how they define it to allow for Pagan type practices with multiple divinity figures or shamanic like practices that acknowledge a supreme type unknowable spirit but that in my experience tended to be based on local rules vice the larger B.S.A. rules. But Atheism was an out and out disqualifier as the belief in a supreme being was a corner stone of the system.

        Where it gets really iffy is when so many Troops and Packs are sponsored by religious groups and the religion of the church usually carries over into the Troop or Pack. For clarification Boy Scouts are broken down by age into Cub Scouts (Pack), WEBELOS (Pack), Boy Scouts (Troop), Explorers (Maybe Troop or Group). For some area's the Tiger Cub program is part of the Cub Scout Pack while in other places it is separate and feeds into the Cub Scout's once they graduate from Tiger Cubs.

        Not on the books any longer but I served as a Scout Master for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as well as leader for WEBELOS for many years. Religion was always more of an issue for those groups than anything dealing with LGBT issues. For many years though women were assumed to be leaders only in the Cub Scout programs and men only in the Boy Scout programs yet as adult volunteers became harder to get that sort of fell to the way side.

          You know that part of The Boy Scout sucks. Because as a mini Satanist, knowing how to tie a proper knot would have helped me in my baby sacrifices.

            Well there are supposed to be a number of Spiral Scouts troops and packs though i've personally never encountered one. I think if I ever did encounter any Satanist during my time or my own youth it would probably be what is called Teen Satanist or something similar which was really a far cry from everything I learnt in later years of what Satanism actually was.

            Can you imagine the looks and comments though if you did have a knot projecting about how to properly tie and bind your sacrifice. The pitchforks and torch brigade would be out before you even finished the lecture.

                  You could earn the badge as a merit badge and wear it on the sash or even have one made as a patrol badge and wear it on the left sleeve near the shoulder. There is a number of badges already that would not be that difficult to modify.
