I listen to Leo Laporte, the Tech Guy podcast (and radio host). He's been on for EVER! Anywho, I'm taking his advice. I'm going to wait and see that all the glitches are worked through with the new adopters before I do my download. Let all the folk get all the bugs. Then I sail right in!

As will I duce,I hate upgrading and then have all the crap pop up..I think they beta test using the public as a free testing group.

True. Though I like the "If it works, don't fix it" saying. That's why I think Windows 8 shouldn't ever have been made.

And windows vista was pretty foul too.

I'm just having a "wait and see" philosophy to this one. My computer will get a free upgrade and I guess we'll just... see how it all works out.

I read somewhere that the free upgrade is good for a year so i'll play the wait game for a bit and see what the average user encounters first. What I dislike about it thought from what i've read is the ability MS will have to take control and access your stuff as part of their maintenance package. A few things saying we will loose the capability to decide when or if we actually want a set of updates.
