Somehow seems appropriate given all three of his books are about fairy tales and exploiting virgins and such.I'm Only Responsible For What I Say Not For What Or How You Understand!

Shocker!
Pagans are like all other folk.
Some are shit, some aren't.Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

Margot Adler--NPR correspondent, Wiccan priestess, Pagan activist, and (probably one of the biggest reasons I'm Pagan) author of Drawing Down the Moon (it was the first book I read on the subject, when I checked it out of the library in 1991), died yesterday in her home in NYC, after a 3 year struggle with cancer, at the age of 68.

Re: Pagan News & Pagans in the News
I just found out this morning about her passing, this is very sad news.
She also had a huge impact on my path with her book "Drawing Down the Moon" when Corbin loaned me his copy many years ago. Margot Adler was a very special person indeed.Gargoyles watch over me...I can hear them snicker in the dark.

I just thought these were interesting...
An elaborate and colorful mosaic showing the Greek god Hermes leading a man to the underworld has been uncovered in a vast tomb from the era of Alexander the Great, Greek archaeologists announced.
Archaeologists in Tel Burna, Israel, have discovered a 3,300-year-old complex for devotees to what was possibly an ancient storm god, or perhaps a female goddess of war.

Re: Pagan News & Pagans in the News
It’s been a hell of a winter here in the UK. The Pagan community has had to come to terms with the issue of child abuse within our community, as no fewer than four pedophiles, identifying as Pagan, were sent to prison. Generally, there have been many child abuse court cases recently. The British police and justice […]Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of HistoryPagan Devotionals, because the wind and the rain is our Bible

Re: Pagan News & Pagans in the News
Did a quick search on PF and didn't find it mentioned, so....
"Pagan fire ritual gone wrong killed Kamloops woman, says husband"
Kamloops, B.C. woman Heather Arlene Carr, who died after setting a fire in a local park, was participating in a pagan ritual that went wrong, according to her husband.
For the record, it wasn't a 'fire ritual'....it was a healing ritual she was doing for her uncle in which she was using a candle.
This happened March 31. It hit Kamloops pretty hard, especially the pagan community, here, which is really quite loose and most practice solitary. It HAS been a catalyst for pagans reaching out and meeting/supporting each other, which is one silver lining, I suppose. Heather and I had both been associated with the same Druid group, however, we never crossed paths, though I knew who she was. (the pagan community here is quite small)
Authorities still have the stone structure cornered off, a continual reminder of what happened there. I wish they would move forward, either removing the baracade, or removing the structure...whatever they decide...just get it done.Allow me to lend a machete to your intellectual thicket. ~ Captain Jack Sparrow
