I'm ABOUT to read this Vegan Cookbook since I found a little gig getting paid to write book reviews. If my boyfriend will just send me the damn login info for his Amazon account I can start reading and start making some MONEY!

Let's see. Finished listening to the audio book World War Z by Max Brooks. Wow. An all star cast of readers made this book come to life for me!

And now reading the true account of Amityvill Horror. Do not listen to this in bed, in the dark, alone. It has scared me for two days now.

Up next? Isaac Asimov's I, Robot!

I love how quickly you zoom through books.

I just started the last of the Tawny Man trilogy and I really don't want to keep reading. I've been so absorbed in these stories I don't know what I'm going to do without them.

It's because they are free audiobooks from my library. I have about a 2 hour (two busses) ride to work every day. And when I'm cleaning up the store at night, I have 2 hours to myself to just clean and listen.

just finished the Icewind Dale trilogy, about halfway through The Legacy (book 1 of the Legacy of the Drow series)

I, Robot was a bust. Too much brainy scientist talky talky for me. Meh.
BUT..I did just finished up in 3 days Del Torro's and Chuck Hogan's 2nd book of The Strain trilogy 'The Fall'. Wow, it was nail biting drama.

Now I am on to Memoirs of a Geisha. Which is about 15 hours long. So this is going to be one of those I listen to in between my new audiobook, The Night Eternal. The final book of the trilogy. I hate when books end. I get so wrapped up in the characters.

While on the bus today I audibly gasped and teared up during the ending of the second book.

http://overdrive.colapublib.org/1FA2...en/Default.htm. Free e-books, magazines and movies. I just can't see too well. Plus the narrators are awesome.

My problem is my eyesight too,and hard to keep my concentration also. Used to read a LOT about 5 books a week.

Oh man, me too. I have about 50 or so books locked up in the side attic. The Diabeetus makes me see blurry no matter what. And they tire quickly. The audiobooks are great for bed time, when I'm cleaning or cooking. Out and about shopping etc. I wasn't sure I would like it. I tried those libriovox free ones once. And the voices were awful. But so far I've fallen in love with the narrators. In fact I can track narrators and see what other work they've done.

So. I went through all, I mean ALL the audiobooks at once and added what I wanted to my wishlist. It's a list I can then pick from for easy browsing. 100 in total. I am all over the place.

Non Fiction:
I've read 'Rabid'. An awesome 2 narrator read about the history of rabies. I mean it is THE most deadly and non curable disease out there. And the book starts from waaaay back in Roman times up to entertainment. To being the birth parent of Vampire/Zombie stories. Amityville (the true story) was a frightening read. The narrator has this dead pan voice that gives this feeling of news documentary. You get sucked in.

On my wishlist (and I'm on a waiting list too)are the following:
~Thinking in pictures by Temple Grandin *the autistic gal who made headway as an American doctor of animal science etc.

~Birth of an empire Genghis Khan.

~The assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford.

~Nazi and the Psychiatrist by Jack El-Hai. It's a new release and I'm like 23rd in line!

Non fiction:
Any title by Chuck Palhalniuk.
Zombie/Robot/Vamp apocalypses.

Actually, yes. They did go into the myths of werewolves.
