If I had been reading them as they were released, I probably would have given up on them at some point... but being on the late-comer end, knowing that the series has a strong fanbase, and knowing that the series is finished, I had motivation to muscle through the weak spots.
Err, you've been lied to. That or you're thinking of a specific section of the series (Salvatore had a thing for trilogies for years). Salvatore's contribution to the six book set FR is WotC is producing now is a Drizzt novel. Drizzt is one of FR's main cash crops. He'll have books coming out till Salvatore or the setting are retired. That said, good to hear you enjoyed books. There have been several good ones over the years.

Just started reading a book titled, "The Gift of Pain." Written by a surgeon and leprosy specialist, it's about the importance of pain and so far it's a fascinating read.

Sanity-destroying cosmic horror can be hard to wrap your head around, so Deviant Artist DrFaustusAu has begun rejiggering H.P. Lovecraft's classic short story as Dr. Seuss book. Now, children of all ages can learn about he who slumbers in his house at R'lyeh.

Divergent book 1. Awesome so far.

Pretty much loved the series. Wasn't overly fond of the ending though.

Have you already read all of those? This year? How do you manage? I'm afraid of losing my reading time with the baby and all.

ETA: I'm working Dark Wolf, Christine Feehan. And since my ereader is lost along with my phone, and I can only read that at home on my computer, I also am reading the Left Behind series again. I don't know why, but that series can still entertain me for awhile (still have never finished it though.)

It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.

I am still reading Angel Time by Anne Rice. But one of my audio books came up available so I had to jump at it. It's called Nazi and the Psychiatrist by Jack El-Hai. A great account of the observations of the Nazis war criminals held during the Nuremburg Trials. Fascinating read. So I just busted through it the last day and a half. Yeah. Just had it on my mp3 constant since yesterday morning! Could not stop listening. It was about 9 hours. So I had about 2.5 hours each way. Then last night. Then all this afternoon while I took a cat siesta.

Still reading The Anne Rice book. But now? I just got in The Prestige! That is one long audio book.

I'm planning to read The Nazi and the Psychiatrist soon. It sounds like you are busy with reading and listening to books. Keep going!

I finished Doctors from Hell. It only took me 3 days. Which was a surprise. Usually it takes me longer for some of my books. It was a good and interesting book. I definitely recommend it. Now I am reading War World I.

Last night, I started reading "The Stairway to Heaven" by Zecharia Sitchin. Overall, it's pretty interesting. I wish I had read the first book in his series, "The 12th Planet", first, though. (By the way, his series, "The Earth Chronicles", isn't exactly fiction. If you read it and knew what it was about, then you'd understand.)
