    Hate to break up y'alls Babylon-5 fest, but I watched the newer Robocop yesterday.

    It wasn't bad. I spent half the movie trying to figure out where I'd seen Robocop's partner before, & it finally dawned on me that it's the guy who plays Chalkie White on Boardwalk Empire. He needs to be in more stuff.

      Speaking about "Boardwalk empire" I was kinda bummed that it is ending this season. I was really getting into it.

        Dark Knight Rises, it was pointed out to me that while the majority of it is darker than the other two movies, Wayne actually appears happy at the end. All told, it was a good flick.

          The Last Cut, starring Robin Williams.....I hadn't seen this one before. Extremely poignant in spots.

            I've sort of had a bit of a movie binge the past few days, watching four that I hadn't seen before.

            "I, Frankenstein" - I'd have to say it's a bit of a guilty pleasure type movie. Crazy special effects, a plotline that at first could turn into something deeper but stays superficial, and enough action to make you not really care too much that the plot is weak. Sort of like a big piece of bubble gum for your brain.

            "X-Men: Days of Future Past" - I thought it was pretty good, despite the little unanswered questions left behind from the previous movies. Though, I have one criticism that I've held on to through all of the X-Men movies. Let's have them be about the X-Men, not just a background cast to help out the Wolverine franchise. Don't get me wrong, Jackman does a great job and has really brought the character to life, but I want to see more Nightcrawler and Colossus and all the others that are just as important.

            "Oz the Great and Powerful" - It's not often that I turn off movies before I've finished watching them, but this one I just had to. I get that they were trying to bring back the magic and feel of the Wizard of Oz, but in doing so, I got the sense of the film as being cheap and poorly acted. For a movie from the 30's, you expect the colors to be garish, the acting to be overdone, and the effects to be obvious and simple. But for something made post Jurassic Park, I expect more, regardless of the 'feel' that is trying to be reached.

            "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" - My favorite of the ones I've recently seen. It feels like with each Marvel movie, they are just getting better and better. Underlying political commentary, loads of action, character development all over the place, and great acting. I may even end up watching it again some time over the weekend.

              Watched "Enders Game" on HBO,ok,but no ribbon. I kinda wondered if it had gone straight to DVD.

                I remember seeing trailers for the movie while sitting in a pub last year. I did see it eventually, and very much enjoyed it.

                            I have a free HBO/Cinemax weekend and saw "Gravity", "Taken 2", (both pretty good) and am going to watch "12 Years A Slave".
