Welp my movie marathon thus far: Concussion (awesome with Will Smith) Legend (Tom Hardy)Finished The Martian with Matt Damon. Now going into Hateful 8. It's almost 3 hours long!

The Big Short. A dark comedy about the housing bubble of 2008. I know. But it's pretty interesting!

Last I saw was In The Heart of The Sea. I echo Medusa, apparently viewings were pulled because it was so poorly received. I don't know why, it was actually very enjoyable. I'd watch it again.

Before that, I watched The Martian twice, two nights in a row, about 26th/27th. I love it. It's one of my favourite new era science fictions, above, below or alongside Moon. Followed by Gravity and followed thereon by Interstellar, whose short-fallings were not repeated with the other films and that's why they're above in my opinion.

I didn't think I was going to like the Hateful 8, even though I've enjoyed Tarantino's movies. I thought it was just a 'spaghetti western'. It was a very intense movie actually. The tension of a who dun it towards the end and they payoff was worth it. I actually liked the dialog. You think it's just all nonsense. But every single sentence actually comes full circle. Awesome movie to watch at 2am on New Year's eve.

I just watched Fury. Infuriatingly disappointing and inconclusive.

Creed - another "pass the torch" kind of thing, liked it
The Revenant - a grislier version of Castaway, set in the cold. Something so well done needn't be so bloody, but I guess that's realism.

Not exactly a movie, but Sherlock the abominable bride aired on danish tv today loved it! Although I'm scaref they're gonna make us wait another 2-3 years for the next episode.
