    Our herbs and vegetables have really started to sprout and grow. It's An amazing spectacle to watch, they grow so quickly.

      I'm proud of myself. My Surface Pro tablet had an automatic update yesterday. Today I had no sound and all apps were locked. Couldn't access the control panel. So I hit the windows logo and the letter R at the same time, which brought up the command box, into which I typed rstrui.exe and it restored to before the update and all is well. Then I set it to NOT automatically update, but to ask first.

      The above took about 4 hours, because I was clueless at the start of this adventure.

        Heh, I'm amused. Accessing and using sys restore (rstrui.exe) was part of a test last week.

          ^^This is why I turn off auto updates...I wait and see if they are ok. Way to many brick jobs happening cause they do not test the updates enough.

            ^^^ I gave you all the Reader's Digest Condensed Version LOL There were a lot of stops and starts before I figured it out. I kept googling stuff. I never had a situation before where the control panel wouldn't open, (even typing "control" in the afore mentioned command box didn't do it).

            OK, so: I set it to "download but not install" updates. How the heck am I gonna know which updates are needed and which will screw things up again? I think the only ones I really need are security patches (?)

              Generally,find a source of news on updates to inform you when it hits the fan. Have them email notifications of bad updates. Funny thing is they email when the updates already screwed the pooch anyway. So better you did not get the update...also the download without updating is good

                  ^^^ Thanks, I will! A lot of these updates are just to make people buy new devices. Planned obsolescence and all that.

                      And I have another niece!!! Halle Raye was born at 4:36 p.m. and according to my Daddy she looks identical to my brother and I when we were born. Poor thing I hope she gets Paden Allens good looks and not mine. He's definitely the prettier of the two of us!!! So on March 13th Lily was born and today Halle Raye. I am one blessed girl.

                        Came home from camp to an almost-complete lack of snow in town. Spent most of the money in my bank account on new house plants. Spent all evening transplanting all my older houseplants into bigger pots for the year.

                        THE GROWING SEASON (inside my house) IS NEAR! (no gardening outside for at least another month though)

                        It was +4C yesterday. It's practically summer.


                        Mostly art.

                            A friend just posted a note that you attach to flower on fb. It was a note to her mother when she was ill. It was signed by my mother for her and me. Just seeing my mother's name and my name in her hand writing....gonna go cry now.

                              Also, did her first cartwheel on the full-sized beam.

                              And about scared me half to death jumping to the high bar without a spot.

                                Bruce Jenner is going to be a woman! I'm actually glad he came out. That's probably a lot of stress off his shoulders. His family seems to be supportive. Thumbs up.
