Sorry the absolute worst tasting food I've ever eaten was all vegetarian or vegan. It made balut's taste good and smell good and that is difficult to do under the best of circumstances. Even gave Kimchi a run for it's money though that actually didn't taste no where near as bad as it smelt.

But then again I tend to find U.S. Vegetarian's are a far cry from people who live in 2nd & 3rd world area's and actually have to live on that type diet.

If you've ever had wilted lettuce with the hot bacon dressing....its even better with kale or spinach!

That's where we have differing opinions. I love me some beef, turkey, buffalo, lamb, chicken... Heck even rattle snake, pigeon, rabbit, veal and pheasant is good. But if you don't like meat, that's cool by me. More meat for me.

I don't like pork like in a pork chop or bbq pork. I only like it in my bologna or bacon or pepperpony.

I really like the slow cooked pork that melts in your mouth(In NY we had a Black lady cook that was a mistress of this dish) place had meals included in the rent of the room.

Yep been to the PI twice to catch boats. Spent a few weeks there total between those trips. Then when I made Chief Petty Officer the Balut was part of the initiation procedures. It's the only cuisine I could only do once and that was iffy due to the smell and seeing the partially developed chicken inside. Never none of the super killer ones just the variety you see sold on the streets in the giant baskets or buckets. The kimchi was from a guy whose wife was Korean. It was only buried for a few days vice the normal couple of weeks or more. Tried a lessor kimchi with a bit of meat in it which was only buried for about 24 hours vice the normal duration which wasn't to bad.
