I'm thinking about keeping my thoughts on the [d]evolution of personal responsibility, both over time and extreme indoctrination, absolutely to myself.

My current state of mind? It's best not to give it room to roam... and wreak havoc. Particularly, in terms of widespread contempt.



Also, I find most of my current observations, of the human species, to be far worse than my usual amount of cynicism and loathing, toward the vile beasts. Exponentially, so.

That said, I offer up an apology and my condolences. Sorry. I'm not in, right now. Please, leave your name and number after the beep.
I lament the loss of, and memorialize, the tender humaneness of humanity... though I'm also quite skeptical that it ever existed, to begin with. Like Pope Joan or the brontosaurus: Just wasteful thinking.

Woke up feeling pain in my chest, wondering if it was a heart attack. Woke up my parents (both nurses), turned out it was gastric reflux. Whew! I am so appreciative. It worried me so.

I just finished watching the movie Oliver and Company. I haven't seen it since I was a kid. I never realized how...disturbing, I guess would be an appropriate term, some parts of the movie are. I don't think the movie is really all that suited to small children. I mean, seriously, the villain gets run over by a train at the end.

Man, I forgot how violent kid's movies were when I was a kid. The Secret of NIMH comes to mind.

I remember that movie, and you're right - a lot of kids' movies during my childhood were downright violent and weird. I think I turned out alright, as did most of the kids I knew.

It wasn't the movies and their violence that messed me up. It was other kids and their hypocrisy.

My Grand Daughter has started school,a catholic school(DIL did that for safety) Rather than public school. also My Daughter bought me a new computer,with windows 7. Still getting used to it. I think I am getting a tech phobia thing from being old...

The last few weeks I have been mulling over in my mind about the nature of our existence. I think I might just be hitting the start of my 70th year "Mid life crisis" Two years till 70,and I think I am gonna find myself changing and wondering about eternity and all that. Just meandering here.

I wonder if my memory is really as bad as it seems. For some reason, I thought you were some 4+ years younger. Like 63 or 64. I'm not sure where I got that idea from. Not being able to remember what ever caused me to think that has had me thinking, for several minutes now, what the hell happened to my memory.

I can't remember if I mentioned - I'm still an English teacher... I didn't get the job teaching art :=(:

I hate first day - it bores me, and it bores the kids (we have so much crap we are supposed to do the first day. There are actually laws about it). So, the day went about as well as could be expected.

How'd it go for the little ones?

Oh - p.s. a bunch of crazy new M. Obama food laws. I am not allowed to let students see me drinking a Coke. If I hand out little treat rewards in class for this or that, they have to be fiber wads that make people puke.

Your post script made me think of apples. Are kids even allowed to give their teachers gifts like that, anymore?
