    I'm not entirely sure. At times he has nightmares, though he's never had a life outside of a cushy safe cage so I can't imagine what would scare him so badly. Today I'm pretty sure they're... shall we say... "happy dreams."

            Frighteningly, the second worse driver in Tassie is eerily familiar to me! Perhaps more frightening is that I've evidently turned into a stuck up city person!

            Caught the tail end of the mac n cheese... I don't normally like to watch those sorts of food shows.

            And speaking of bogans, Dave Hughes was just on a telly ad... I love me a bit of Davo!

                          I want to take a stab to see if my Aussie knowledge is rusty:
                          1. I think that yeah, it's a plaid shirt.
                          2. They're pretty much interchangeable, but cupboard is more commonly used in British English (aside from Canada, but we still use it for food cupboards).
                          3. Cheap Aussie beer.

                            1. Yes, except that here in South Australia, a 'flannel' is like a terry towel face cloth. The fabric that is made into plaid man's shirts and warm winter sheets is called 'flanelette'

                            2. We don't really use 'closet'. A cupboard is a cabinet... almost all storage with doors, whether freestanding or built in, is a cupboard. Where you store your hanging clothes is a 'wardrobe'.

                            3. VB and West End are beer brands... but the cheap watery beer that is drunk by bogans and country people. I'd have to ask Torey what the equivalent US brand is, but he's asleep right now.

                                in British Columbia, it's Lucky Lager!

                                in Berlin, it's Sternburg (Sterni), which is from Leipzig, but it's still cheaper than Berliner Pilsner or Berliner Kindl...and it's less than 50 cents for a 500 mL bottle at the supermarket.
