    How much is Obamacare like our Aussie Medicare? Are they comparable at all? Oh never mind, I googled it. They don't look the same. What a lot of reading!

    Anyway, whether through Obamacare or some other change in laws, I really think US citizens have it awfully bad when it comes to healthcare. Changes are definitely needed. I remember hearing a story of a lady who got hit by a guy's flying limb when he threw himself in front of a train and subsequently she broke an arm in the fall. She then tried to sue the dead man's estate. It was appauling, but I think maybe she was looking for a way to cover her medical expenses. In Australia, you get really really cheap health care. Like so so cheap. Free if you are a low income earner. And hospital stuff is usually always "free." "Free" in that we all pay an annual tax levy that is means tested and then can just get access to whatever we need the rest of the year.

                Got my health insurance renewal notice today. (I'm self insured, not through the ACA). Of course my premium will be higher - but I'm not gonna complain, because it's still a few bucks less than it was in NJ 10 years ago. I can only imagine how much it'd be there now if I had stayed.

                          So, Nova will not grow up watching Milo and Otis, but I think I might get her Homeward Bound for Christmas, if I can find a DVD. Apparently, there are some serious allegations that 20 kittens were killed in the making of Milo and Otis, I looked it up after watching about half the movie today and seeing how dangerous some of those scenes appeared. Homeward Bound, which I liked a lot more as a kid anyway, has the No Animals Were Harmed status from the AMA.

                            OMG that's heartbreaking! I loved that movie as a kid!

                            I was a bit too old for Homeward Bound. I liked it, but it came out when I was in that sort of "tween" phase in between childhood and the teen years, so it just doesn't hold that kind of nostalgia for me :/ Still, probably a better movie to introduce now, because it was definitely made after animal welfare standards were in place!

                                Nuts perhaps,but for me energy drinks are kinda stupid,and I am a heavy coffee drinker. Caffeine has its limits as a source of energy,there is a limit where it can hurt you. Connected to evil and Satan?,nope that is clearly Decaff. that is evil.
