I feel a connection to the world around me and everything is beautiful; the trees, the rolling hills, the numerous rivers. I can only imagine what the land looked like before we populated and nearly destroyed the lands. I yearn for some old growth forests, to be part of them, to be in balance with nature.

How much I want to go to sleep in my bed. I've been sleeping in the recliner since Sunday because my dog nephew won't sleep with anyone else nor will he sleep anywhere else. Two more nights to go.

So I was woken up early. I already told the Japanese group that I can't attend tonight because of work. There's loads going though and I hate feeling like I'm missing something. So maybe I should just go. The problem is that I've only had 4 hours sleep and have work tonight.

I should really go back to bed, but...

I'm really tired of reactionary responses to everything. When something seemingly bad happens, people's heads explode like it's the end of the world, but if you wait a few days and either gather more information, or take a step back and re-examine things, you'll realize that a reaction of that scale may not have been necessary, and what happened may not constitute as the worst possible scenario.

But thinking like this is a curse in a way, because in the end, no one on either side agrees with you.

In 3 hours and 10 minutes I won't have to go to school for 3 months! Still got exames the next 3 weeks, but no more classes. First exam paper due tomorrow and I'm not done because I've had ordinary classes and homework though...

How on earth do people get such things as "hobbies"?
How can somebody just go out there do something cool while they could just sit down, get on the internet and eat.

Oh I wouldn't even try to work out what your meals are meant to be called. I call anything I eat at work 'lunch' and anything after I've woken up, morning or night, is my breakfast. After that though, I just pick a word at random.

Basic greetings like 'goodnight' and 'good morning' are redundant too. JP luckily speaks Japanese too, so we have 'oyasuminasai' which literally translates to 'take a rest', and more naturally translates to 'sleep well' so doesn't feel weird at 9am. But if I'm speaking to anyone else before bed there's always that awkward.. 'good.. mornight..' moment. They of course have the option of 'sleep well', but I'm left with just 'bye'.

free! I'm free! I've got the first season of big bang theory (I started watching it on tv, but they're on the newest series, so want to catch up)... and... OH. phonetics exam due tomorrow! anybody know how to transcribe the words 'racing' and 'raising' to show the differences in pronounciation in RP?... no? me neither.
