Ever had a can of green ripe olives? I love the sweetness of black olives. But they always taste sort of tinny. But the green ones? It's just water and sea salt. Slightly sweet and buttery (like the can says!) and a hint of brine. Soo dang good.

So. I just got my mail.
I need to go into dmv to renew my driver's license for $33. What's worse is that I have to take a vision test. I can't see far away. And I don't have glasses for it, because I don't use them and they are years old and probably wouldn't work anyways. I wear reading glasses for work etc. Which means I'm not going to be able to get a license but an i.d. I mean I don't even drive anymore. But it's the first sign that my vision is going to the birds I guess.

I'm going to try not to be bummed because I shouldn't be driving to be honest. But I feel sorta...broken :=S:


And the other piece of mail? I got a class action lawsuit payout in the mail from a job over 8 year ago. $27. Which will pay for my i.d. I guess.

I did the no driving about 15 years back..had no car and thought why have a license.Just did the I.D. thing..

I talked to my dad a bit today and told him we were looking at moving overseas in the fall. He seemed ok with it, but sad that we'd be giving up our aspirations on the careers we have been working toward for the past several years.

Still, he's handling all these kids leaving the nest with the cat much better than I was expecting based on the texts I've been getting from him lately.

Also, it's my friday and adult beverages are good.

That's the awful part. No, it's not. I'm making a fresh batch right now because what I had in the pot, when I got home, was way too watery and tasted like hot water with a hint of something gross. Using some different spices to see how it turns out this time. I have to brave through this one more night and half of tomorrow before I officially declare World War III on broth.

The nice thing... My supplements arrived today and one of the pills is making my burps taste like tooth paste.... Or maybe root beer. I haven't decided yet.

I'm pretty much 100% certain I'm blowing this way out of proportion. People drink broth all the time (it seems). I just don't like broth. Don't like it in my ramen, don't like it in my stews, don't like soups... I don't even like gravy (most gravies...).

I got some chicken broth(the one in the paper bottle) thinking it would be kinda chicken soup..and no,it taste like weird water,so I really do understand..Bland as hell.
