            More snow (3rd time in 10 days) on the way, followed by more freezing rain. Very unusual for our region, especially this early in the season. In fact, it's not even winter yet.

              It's 30-ish here in the Ozarks, and supposed to be 50-ish tomorrow until around sunset when the bottom falls out and we go to zero -ish. All too cold-ish for old-ish me! But I'm going to see The Nutcracker tonight, which makes me happy.

                  It might be that the west coast drought is over,was reading the SFGate site,and the Russian river is going to be up 20 feet,and other areas in Northern California are expecting flooding. I remember the change from Drought to rainy season when I lived in the bay area. This change might also effect the west coast up into Washington and Oregon.

                        All of our plants died when we moved into this house years ago. I think it is the light- either very dark or blasting sunlight in the same room due to all windows on East or West walls. I had resigned myself to this, but recently someone gave us a plant (looking grim), and we have a plant in the house that will be going on to live with someone else (still doing well). Mr. Pear and I have both noticed how happy we are having plants in the house. I really want to figure out a way to sustain them in this environment. Not sure it is going to happen, though. We thought we had green thumbs before, but we really just always had good Southern exposures.
                        Pear what about succulents. They require low maintenance and you can stick them in a room with lots of light.

                          Thankfully my co-worker/friend picked me up and brought me home from work.

                          And we went to pick up pastrami sammies after work. And he paid!

                                I remember when 42 was so very cold back when I lived in California...Now here in Jersey winter,if it hits 42 it feels like it is suddenly summer..what a difference a coast makes...
