My yard looks better than it has in a while, and a good sized tree limb fell today. LOL It's always something! At least Ms. Feral Cat Pest hasn't been around for a couple of days. 4:26am: Waiting for the sleeping pill to kick in. I'm guessing I'm going to sleep till noon. Meh, what else is new? It's my day off. I ain't got surgery or a meeting to attend.

Also passing time by finally looking at the different restaurants I'm going to eat at while at the Grand Canyon. Finally got my three different breakfast places picked out. Sorta settled on the dinners (pizza!) and am going to the the Angel Lodge for lunch while in the grand canyon. Roast beef sammy with grilled onions and mushrooms AND au jus? I'm there!

^^^ That's fun, picking out places to eat ahead of time! I do that for the first leg of my trip "back home" when I'm a few hours from here the night before my flight.

The squirrels. yeah if she'd had a bunch of dogs she'd be more "normal" - cracked me up too. Like, squirrels are closer to the perfect crime because most people wouldn't think they'd been trained.

Actually not, I 'tamed' red squirrels in our summerhouse when I was a kid. Not to the point that they would attack on command ^^ but calling them over, having them sit on my lap. Making weird little puzzles for them to find food in. I'm not too surprised if someone managed to actually train a few.

If they can't get to it they can probably get through it. Very efficient chewers

To be true,it was hanging where they had to jump a distance to get to it. They at times missed,but kept trying..at times hanging by one paw(that was a funny site). Very persistent little buggers.

Mine has a counterweighted perch. The little buggers have figured out how to hang over the top and sneak around the side to grab a seed before the cover closes. The only downside (for them) is that part of their visual field is blocked and once in a while a feral cat pounces and gets them. Then the survivors up in the trees all screech like monkeys and stay away for a couple of days.
