      We had snow yesterday morning. I very nice sprinkling of it. It had melted by about 10 am but the lakes are starting to freeze. It was a nice surprise.

        We had snow like 2 weeks ago... but it only stayed for a few days. Now we're back to rain... I like snow better

          Update on my attempt to use fb more... I feel horrible for doing it but I actually unfollowed someone. They just kept posting the same 'no one understands me because I'm just so unique and special' type memes and posts and it was starting to get a bit old. I'll follow them again when they realise everyone has their quirks and crosses to bear, and find a new topic to post about. Anyway, almost instantly I started seeing posts from people I'd been missing and then yesterday English speakers other than my darned neighbour who's out of work and obviously lives on fb, responded to my post! Kinda sucks that I had to unfollowed someone before my other contacts could see me though.

            Raining heavily here... so no changes then. It's always raining here. Steaming in front of the fire (or just staying wet) is a way of life...

                                I consider myself a very soft animist in that I believe everything has a soul purely because I believe spirit is in everything and if we treat it as an individual it behaves as one. Still, I feel kinda bad because our new fridge came today (I love it!!), and I forgot to thank the old one for its service. Sure it had gone a bit senile and started freezing my salad but it just took its job very seriously and maybe went to the extreme in the end. I can identify with a healthy bit of ocd.

                                I know that as I'm not even a true animist I shouldn't care so much, but I spoke to it whenever I did my house cleansing. Told it why I was grateful for it, thanked it for its diligence. Then today some guys came and carried it off, dropping it in the street so ice splattered everywhere.. without a moments acknowledgement from me. Kinda sucks.

                                Still, I know from the only anime series I've ever really enjoyed that once you start believing your household appliances have personalities it's a slippery slope...
