The background story: S.O. had a dream the other night that my good Aussie friend and myself sailed away on a raft to Australia, where I spent the entire time afraid of the water and she was mad at me because I didn't speak Australian and therefore 'wouldn't fit in'. We both found it absolutely hilarious, and so when we went camping last week, we re-enacted it. For science. Or something.

Well, ish. She's a good friend, who occasionally lets me into her bed, who I happen to be in love with. I wouldn't call her my girlfriend, but she might as well be for what it feels like in my heart. But she's also really young, and flighty still, so one day, she'll be madly in love with me, and the next, she'll just want to be friends, and the next, she'll be kissing me goodnight at the door. It hurts, but I understand, because I used to be the same. So I just roll with the punches, as it were.
