Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.
I'm thankful for my family. My pets. My friends. The forum.
I'm thankful for technology and running water and good food.
I'm thankful for love and life and good times.
I'm thankful for our planet and nature and al the forces that culminated in us being here today.
Even though everything's not always bliss, I'm thankful.
We are what we are. Nothing more, nothing less. There is good and evil among every kind of people. It's the evil among us who rule now. -Anne Bishop, Daughter of the Blood
I wondered if he could ever understand that it was a blessing, not a sin, to be graced with more than one love.
It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.
Still, it was a blessing I would never relinquish. Love, genuine love, was always a cause for joy.

I am thankful for all the not crazy people in the world...If not for them we would just be a freaking looney bin of a planet.
LOL - I'm actually thankful for the loons. Without them, life would be easy, I'd have nothing to crank about, and I would look much worse in comparison.
Also, sometimes the loons are right (in the same way that a stopped watch is right twice a day - provided it isn't digital, in which case it's just wrong all along).

I'm thankful that I caught the dangerous temperature drop in my hedgie's enclosure early, and that even when I abruptly woke up his grumpy self and removed him from his sleeping bag that he was still warm and hadn't tried to hibernate yet.
Now I have to figure out wtf happened with my heating setup and how to fix it.
I am thankful for everything the Gods and Goddesses, ancestors and spirits have given me; troubles they've gotten me out of; helped me when I least expected it; guided me; protected me (usually from my own stupidity). I am thankful for all those things and more, even though I probably didn't deserve to be blessed and helped so much.
I am thankful that the Gods have looked out for my family and I through this year. It has been a rough one, and at times, there seemed to be no hope....but through divine intervention, we have slowly pulled through!
