Ok so tomorrow we are heading to the summer villa which is about a 20 minute drive from our home. It was built by my hubby's grandfather and great grandfather so it is a very important place for him. It has not been used for overnight stays for many years, until I came along!!!!
Now it really is going back to basics but I love it. There is no mains electricity, no heating apart from the hearth, no running water and the toilet is a compost toilet (my kids nearly had heart failure when they first used it hehe). You have no other houses nearby, just surrounded by trees and wildlife. I do have some pics up but they are not that good of the villa so I am going to take more and put them on my blog so everyone can see.
It is a truly magical place and I feel very connected there, like I belong. Jan's ( my hubby) grandma asked me if i can handle staying there, I told her I could easily live there with no trouble at all and she looked stunned, not because of what I said but because the rest of the family will not stay there and she is happy to have someone want to use it for what it was built for, and I am happy to oblige.
So you will not hear from me as of tomorrow until Monday (if Jan can last that long with 5 people and a dog in 1 room)
Blessings to everyone xxx

#3lillywolf commented01 Aug 2013, 05:38Editing a commentIt is but one thing, well 2 things, that it really needs is power so you can have a fridge and a shower. It's too cold to wash in the lake and I don't want to scare anyone passing by!!!! and to be able to keep food for longer so we could stay longer would be so good. I want to live there but with kids you need running water and a fridge,
