Nature was around before anything, and I believe that it, not manmade conventions/idols/"heroes"/prophets should be venerated.
I am journeying to Italy in November and it will be nice to cleanse my mind and body before the trip! (now this is an awesome story, the reason WHY I'm going)
I have been very interested in birth for the past week or so, especially the concept of painless/nearly painless natural unassisted childbirth. Paganism has taught me that my body is NOT sinful and that my body doesn't have to be punished because it is female.
I look forward to becoming one of the community here!
I'm a little technologically handicapped so I hope this is in the right section. My name is Robyn. I'm 18. I have a beautiful newborn son and two adorable fur-children. I did a google search for a pagan community I could talk to and this came up . I am not necessarily "pagan" I guess or anything else for that matter, but I'm looking to learn more about certain pagan faiths. I first looked into wicca when I was 15 and was drawn to the nature aspect of it. I feel a deep connection with the outdoors on a spiritual level, and I don't know how to explain it really. I hate to sound cheesy if I do but that is the best way to describe it for me. I would love to find a specific community whether it be witchcraft or wicca or any other faith that respects nature and is one with it rather than seeing it as a seperate thing. I'm just hoping to gain some insight from more experienced practitioners.
It's been a long time since I've been on this forum. I had joined it briefly and then was whisked off to the Navy before I could settle myself. No matter what I do I still find myself venturing into the world of Paganism. Fitting, almost, seeing as how I was born on Imbolc.
I'm here to learn and to make friends. But mostly to learn. Religions, especially these ones are fascinating. They call to me. Always call to make me remember when I forget.
life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.
Yoda: Dark Rendezvous
"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."
