R/L: Third grade, Christopher, lived 2 doors down & was in my class. I used to watch for him to walk past my house.
Celeb: Fifth grade, Mr. Spock. Yeah, that explains a lot!

I didn't think to include my first girl crush. It happened when I was about 15. We had both tasted alcohol for the first time (and I found I didn't like it), and we sat, cuddled in each other's arms, kissing occasionally. I fell in love with her then, and to be honest, I'm still in love with her now. When we greet (though seldom now...), we still greet each other with a full kiss on the lips. In front of my partner's, in front of hers, or in front of the world, it's never mattered. She still takes my breath away, even though I only see her once every year or so.

My experience was similar to this, except it was a friend of mine and I was overweight in HS and he wasn't interested. Ran into him years later and, if I don't mind my saying so, having lost the pounds I was quite hot. But he'd packed on a spare tire and he wanted me so bad, he wasn't even trying to hide it. My turn to deny him . Felt pretty good.

My first crush was on Bobby Sherman, a singer in the 60s who's tunes graced the back of Super Sugar Pops. (You youngsters won't remember the cut-out 45s on the back of cereal boxes.) I was 5. I came to understand gayness in college when I divulged this bit of nostalgia to a gay friend and he exclaimed, "No kidding! That was my first crush, too!" It had never occurred to me that one of the boys in my kindergarten class might have been mooning over the same guy.

LMAO - my older sister had his posters, and David Cassidy all over the walls. She was a rebel.

My daughter has pictures of guys with eyeshadow and bones in their ears...

Bobby Sherman! I remember him, and I have a couple of his 45's. I loved Engelbert starting at age 12 (still do), and David Cassidy from age 13 (still do)!

I've been jaded about this sort of thing for so long I've started to forget. I flirted with girls all the time when I was little, but none of them liked me. I got bold and asked out a girl in third grade and she ran away screaming.

I suppose it would only make sense to count what happened after I discovered my orientation, but I don't recall any "crushes" beyond that point. Except maybe for David. He was a very good-looking boy I went to middle and high school with and was one of the few who didn't bully me, though we weren't friends.

Joseph. I was maybe three. Grew up together. I kept trying to kiss him. Insisted I would marry him one day. We were round about the same age.

I wondered if he could ever understand that it was a blessing, not a sin, to be graced with more than one love.
It could be complicated; of course it could be complicated. And it opened one up to the possibility of more pain and loss.
Still, it was a blessing I would never relinquish. Love, genuine love, was always a cause for joy.

My habit of procrastination. I swear half of my life has been spent regretting "What I could have done but put it off". Example: I was going to go skiing yesterday. Decided I didn't wanna. Told myself if I didn't go skiing, I'd go to spin class. Noon class came and passed, and I thought "That's okay, I'll go to the evening one instead" ....that came and passed, and now it's morning and I'm regretting not working out yesterday.

This is actually a tough one. Nothing really stands out as a life-changing thing to quit. Though I don't do it to excess, I think I'd like to quit cussing. It doesn't really add anything to conversation.

Being lazy when it comes to pretty much everything.
