Four-leaf clover. I think that would be really cool. Haven't seen one yet.

That reading is a lazy hobby. The types of books I read make me learn a lot. I like to learn a lot through reading. My favorite types of books are history. My current profession, though I can't work now due to health issues, is medical biller/coder. I still keep up on it through reading my old school books and looking for new books related to the profession.

That misconception annoys the SHIT out of me. Nearly as much as the morons that assume it's true.

        Ugh.

        I hate that.

I would actually argue the opposite...a good teacher can teach (the basics, and frequently intermediate stuff) of any subject more effectively than the average great __________ can teach, even if the latter is better at the subject than the former.

That tribal societies lived in some kind of magical fairy land union with nature and were spiritually enlightened.

What is the most outrageous or common misconception people have about your hobby or profession?
That all writers are manic depressive alcoholics with a nihilistic life philosophy based on the demons of their past.

This is what I think. Content is secondary in teaching. Anyone can learn content. Not anyone can learn how to teach.

                      Ho-boy.

Drivers who drive at or slower than the speed limit. I might drive a 20 year old van that is dying, and have about 3 horsepower in my engine, but if I'm on the road, get out of my way, or I will fucking kill you.

Or I might not kill you. But I will cuss up a storm inside my vehicle, speed ahead of you, and watch your signal lights and consistently go out of my way to stay in front of you, and I will drive 20km/hr.

                      Do not tempt me.

That I'm not the only one on it.
Life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

                          Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."

I know, right? Can you imagine if I owned a sports car? I would be dead right now. "Why aren't you going 160?! I WILL MURDER YOU IN YOUR SLEEP."

                            But seriously. I'm a major a-hole when I drive.

Politics and economics do effect you, and have the potential to effect every aspect of your life. They permeate into just about every area of socio-economic and political life.

People who go faster than the speed limit, people who don't use their turn signal, and just drivers in general who are either reckless or who ignore the applicable laws that govern driving.
