I watch Parks and Rec on Netflix. and I took myself out for ice cream once this week.

Thing is with protests you need to test the climate of peoples trends...wrong climate and it goes south,right one and it changes things...but you have to have a nose for witch way the wind blows..weathermen might know...

Do agree there, have to really canvass the situation and see how the mindset of those present work. Just my experience when its charity any protests make it all me, me, me and that pisses people off. Especially depending upon what the charity is and who it might be for. Considering charity often times is aimed at the poor or destitute in some manner that strikes a lot of hatred and such towards anyone protesting.

As I said,it means you need to be a student of human nature...political thought is not always a good gauge of what the common man or woman is thinking. They like to use "What the people want" rhetoric,but are seldom privy to real working class peoples thoughts. Politicians tend to be high up in Ivory towers...If it is all "One man(woman) vote that elects,then good" but if it is only the amount of money that decides the day..then we the people have lost everything already!

this is so true. and in this situation, it seems clear to me who is on the people's side and who isn't. KFB might say they're doing a charity, but their goals as an org are outlined clearly in their own policy book. anti-union, anti-working class, anti-LGBT, the list goes on. Fairness Campaign, on the other hand, is VERY pro-LGBT, pro-workers, they accept everyone, and they are for the people

One thing,and it is important..one must dig DEEP into political groups...they can at times not be what they seem to be...What matters is deeds,words can be use to deceive.

.... somehow I always manage to get into political discussions. even on pagan forum. weird, I came here to talk about my religious views with like-minded and/or open-minded people, and somehow I always get drawn to the political threads instead

oh well, that's me for ya. gonna work for a pres. candidate, gonna get a major that will help me get a political job... I mentioned Parks and Rec on here, might as well mention Leslie. my name is not Leslie, but some people have called me that.

It's not a bad thing, you know, to talk about politics. I came here to talk about spirituality too. And I was so surprised and confused when I saw people in chat talking about video games, hobbies, et cetera.. This forum is way more than just a pagan forum. So don't feel bad about that.
