It just makes me angry that she would disagree with me and then back out when I actually defend my position. If your going to speak against a post someone makes be ready to defend your position. It doesn't have to be a speech but a simple explanation goes a long way.

I agree with you. I hate it when people cop out after challenging you. I have my opinion because of the information which I have found and believe and how this coincidences with my beliefs. I respect your opinion but disagree because .... and then they just stop and still say they're right with no back up. The only thing worse is people who defend their position with bull like obviously biased statistics or just plain wrong information or use some trite statement and believe they've completely dismantled your argument. I got into the gun debate with someone once brought up how strict gun laws have reduced violent crime in other countries, how owning firearms for the purpose of rebellion is fairly pointless given the power of modern weapons, how the founding fathers could never have possibly understood the kinds of weaponry we now possess, and his response was basically guns don't kill people. If you can create a rational argument that's backed up by something more than your opinion I'll respect you even if it disagrees with my own.

Maybe it's just not that important to them. I have dissenting opinions all the time. I state them. Someone wants to argue with me, I may or may not. Just because usually I don't give an f.

This. I throw my opinions around, when I feel the urge to. Sometimes, I'm even willing to debate whatever-it-is. Other times, I'm not really stating my opinion to convince anyone of anything, I've nothing to debate. I'm just adding my own piss to someone else's vinegar.

Being facebook, it's a parade that just begs to be rained on. Sometimes with gusto. Might as well oblige...

Decided to go to San Antonio, early Thursday (7/3) for the July 4th weekend, partially because my friend has been working a temporary job up there for the summer and was throwing a cookout on the 4th, but mostly, I wanted to visit the Lego store that recently (a few months ago) opened (I'd never been to a Lego store... and San Antonio is the closest one to me).

Friday (7/4), while I was at the Lego store (before the cookout), and talking to an employee, when I had mentioned that I was from out of town, he asked, "are you in town for Brick Fiesta?"

I allowed that I was not, but it was certainly now in my plans.

My friend decided to attend the Lego Convention with me.

I was already resigned to the fact that I was only going to be able to attend Saturday (7/5), since I needed to drive home early (4:30am) Sunday (7/6)... the convention runs from 10am-4pm on both days... Well... friend insists on sleeping in, then insists on going and eating at a nice restaurant before going to the convention... we didn't get there until noon... come 1:30pm... whining... "I've already seen everything I want to see!"... Lets go somewhere else!

Dammit, I came for your July 4th cookout... you decided to tag along to the Lego convention... I didn't invite you, and I had originally planned to drive home that day, anyway... YOU decided to tag along... don't bitch at me for geeking out at my a convention that you insisted on tagging along to.

Long story short, I ended up leaving early to silence the whining.

On the other hand... when we got back to the car, I was presented with a surprise T-Shirt that was purchased for me, when I was too busy geeking out to notice that my friend had wondered off... so I guess its not fair to complain too much...

But on the other hand, $10 covered access to the convention from 10am-4pm... I got to visit the convention from 12pm-1:30pm... all because you invited yourself, but were content with just casually glancing around, then leaving... Dammit... you used to live with me... you used to complain about the room I took up with my Lego storage... not to mention building and display... I get that you think that Lego is cool, just not as cool as I think it is... but dammit, if you're gonna tag along with me to the thing that I am GUARANTEED to geek out about, don't steal it from me... if you get bored, remember that YOU insisted on coming with.

If I had my druthers, I would have spent the full 6 hours (10-4) on Saturday at the convention... instead, I got 1.5 hours.

I'm stupendously excited that I got to attend my first Lego convention (something that I've been wanting to do for a while), purely by accident... but I'm INCREDIBLY disappointed that my stay was cut short by an uninvited guest.

I am very sorry that you couldn't get all geeked out. My husband loves Legos, and I can only imagine how he'd feel if his stay in Lego-Heaven was cut short.

Also, you are the only person other than myself I have ever known to use druthers. I consistently get asked what it means ...

Oh... I got all geeked out... and that's kinda the problem. I had enough time to fully immerse myself and start to shift my brain into "ignore world... LEGO!!!!" mode... and then I was ripped out of it.

Somewhat like being escorted out of a buffet just as you've perused enough to really get your stomach rumbling.

Also, you are the only person other than myself I have ever known to use druthers. I consistently get asked what it means ...

It is such a handy word!

I spent the early part of today watching the pokemon VCG nationals. I only saw the finals though because my computer wouldn't load the twitch stream. I finally put brought it up on my phone (should've thought of that earlier) and had a grand old time. After that I did not leave bed. I haven't eaten in 30 some odd hours either but I don't feel terribly hungry. I just feel mostly like I never want to leave my room.

My dad just got home from work and is making me eat.

I have a sandwich, bowl of soup and some chips. I didn't realize how crappy I was feeling until I had eaten and started feeling better.

So sometimes I see cosplay done on reddit. Some of it is nsfw. Every single cosplay of WonderWoman is just some chic( doesn't even have the right hair color or style) a gold band on the forehead and her white books and naked cootch in my face. Every cosplay is the same. It's effing annoying. I want that nsfw Wonder Woman to have some detail so I can at least believe its Wonder Woman's cootch all up in my monitor.

Same for cosplay where the girl is a cat. Naked. Blue ears.

Though I will say that, strictly speaking (in my opinion) someone cosplaying a nsfw Wonder Woman is just roleplaying nekkie time. Since that isn't what Wonder Woman is all about. Again, my opinion.

I would agree that's not what she's all about but I would also think she wouldn't be uncomfortable naked either. I doubt she's ashamed of her body and her lack of clothing won't influence her confidence (though she did say her outfit makes her feel powerful). She'll kick butt even if she's naked.

My rant is a doozie. My boyfriend has recently messaged me about having trust issues with me because of my paganism and witchcraft. He asked if I did any "dark magic" awhile ago and I said no (for a few reasons like I don't think there's such a thing as dark magic, I haven't hexed in years and other reasons) and now he's so untrusting of me because he found out I've done seances, love spells and binding rituals. What about that is evil? He acts like I'm doing these terrible things like cursing wild animals to attack people (owait that was Elisha). He says he's seen the results of my practices before and didn't like it when he says. I'm infuriated. I told him it's not his business anyway and he won't lay off. If he doesn't get the **** over it I'm going to have to break up with him.

My rant is a doozie. My boyfriend has recently messaged me about having trust issues with me because of my paganism and witchcraft. He asked if I did any "dark magic" awhile ago and I said no (for a few reasons like I don't think there's such a thing as dark magic, I haven't hexed in years and other reasons) and now he's so untrusting of me because he found out I've done seances, love spells and binding rituals. What about that is evil? He acts like I'm doing these terrible things like cursing wild animals to attack people (owait that was Elisha). He says he's seen the results of my practices before and didn't like it when he says. I'm infuriated. I told him it's not his business anyway and he won't lay off.
