I was at a pagan meetup in a city park recently when a group of Christian walked down the street with banners and singing. There was an immediate reaction by some of the Pagans to react with an attack...
I waved and smiled and approached the Christians. They were doing a "walk-a-thon" to raise money for their missionaries. They had no idea that there was a group of pagans in the park and didn't care.
It is often easier to take offense than it is to do the work to understand.
