Cats are great fun! I was thinking about getting one again, but I worry about their tendency to kill birds and things.

My cats are strictly indoors, so the only birds they would kill would be one that somehow got into the house (and honestly they're pretty lazy, so I'm not sure they would even then).

Keep them inside. Really, cats *should* only be inside--outdoor (feral or not) and even indoor/outdoor cats are an environmental menace. If you have the space, you can always make them an outdoor enclosure connected to your home, or just go with some kitty furniture for climbing and hiding. We feed ours from treat bowls and a food ball, so they stay entertained while we aren't there.

I'm headed to copenhagen to look at the christmas lights on the high street that's one of my favourite things about the season.

So are your cats OK with being kept indoors? Have they always been indoor cats?

I dedided to treat myself to some shopping... ended up spending a grand total of nothing well. Cheap trip. And the lights were awesome. Small christmas markets everywhere. They even put up a ferris wheel in the middle of town!

Of course I'm okay with it. And yes, they have been since birth. I live in a place that gets very cold, with lots of traffic and dogs around. It would be cruel to keep them outside.

Also more healthy for the Cats...many things they can catch outside(And bring inside too) Usually Cats are ok with being inside.

Which doesn't mean they don't like to spring for an open door...lol.

Smitty has been an indoor cat since we brought him home as a kitten. Buddy has been an indoor cat since we brought him home as an adult, was an indoor cat with his first owner, and an indoor/outdoor cat with his second owner. Both of them are find inside. Its mostly a matter of remembering that they are cats and catering to cat things with them each day--my cats have mastered the red dot and made it their *****. Also, they like the fluffy-thing-on-a-stick quite a bit.

Will add,they really do need attention sometimes..My Sister had a cat,but was seldom at home(Job took a LOT of her time) and her cat up and adopted her neighbors,and flipped her tail as she went...Yeh,cats do want a little attention above and beyound food and water and some cat toys and Catnip of course.

Going shopping for some warm gloves and a new robe. Yay

$52 and some frugal shopping got me this:
~Minnie Mouse fleece jammy pants
~Santa t shirt for the holiday party
~Fleece gloves with touch pad tips
~Undies
~Special Christmas time undies
~usb micro charger cable
~earbuds
~sweet tarts candy
~limited edition tic tacs (cherry cola hola hola!)
~Pine scented Christmas candle jar (omg I'm all piney up in here)
~What I consider to be a big splurge for sake of eff it, I got the bonus (a bag of sweet dark cherries for $7!) I know. I can't believe it. But they looked so good. I must have.

And now I'm waiting for pizza now.

My head is full of snot, my flat is a mess and I still have some exams to tackle BUT I CAN FINALLY TAKE A NAP.

Poetry. I bought the collected poems of w.b. yeats on black friday. It came today it's amazing. I've already read lots of it.. but it's still so beautiful.
