I just found out my friend Beth has a free ticket to Universal Studios! So we are going next Friday. I had to rent a car (my car ain't making it up those hills, man). But I found a rental car for $36! I will still have to work later at 8pm. But....that's ok. I get to go to a theme park. Yay!

(let's not ask about eating food there. I'll deal with that later!)

I love McDonald's.

Sure, their food sucks on both a taste and nutritional level...but where else can you go and let your children play on a giant slide with limited avenues of escape with other kids their age while doing your homework in relative peace, enjoying free wi-fi and socializing in sympathy with other frustrated parents?

And their sweet tea is like liquid crack.

Getting up early while the house is still quiet to do devotions. I'm not a morning person, but I have to admit that it's a nice way to start the day.
