I confess I'm a published poet, and I still can't get over thinking Haikus are kind of stupid.

I also confess I avoid posting on a lot of threads on this forum to avoid boring you all to death with things you could have guessed about me from a mile away, and that are pretty darn predictable to boot.

I like poetry also especially ancient Greek style like Pindar, Sapho, Aristophanes, and so on.

For the most part I don't actually write poetry, but instead I write science fiction.

Thanks. At the moment I am trying to write a sequel to the book, "1984" , written by George Orwell.

Think of it as the modern version of "1984".

Yes, I have. Aldous Huxley was a very interesting and somewhat sinister historical character.

I've always found the parallel and dissonance between Huxley and Orwell fascinating: two very disparate ways of controlling the masses, each leading to the same end.

I confess that because I am suffering from the same problem as Perze today, that all of my plans for blogging on the topic I had planned to blog on are shot, and I feel that it would be wrong for me to post the comment that I wanted really, really badly to post. It just wasn't nice or tactful.

I tried to post mine like, four different times and each time it seemed as inflammatory as what I was replying to, and I've found about five or six similar fights I could get into, so I'mma just keep a low profile today. :shakefist:
