    Re: Unpopular Opinions.

I thought this thread was just to state unpopular opinions, not to debate them?

I think that we have too much stuff. It horrifies me; all the trinkets, things crammed on altars, special clothes, jewellery and seasonal decorations. I think minimalism is the way forward and that Pagans should be leading the movement.

I hate children too. I also hate fat people on rascals in Walmart.
(mostly because I can never get on one for fun for fear I will be looked at as one of those fat people) At 1am in the morning. And why do I care what some crack addicts in Walmart think of me shopping at 1am in the morning throwing bologna in my cart like it's steak.

I don't like children, either. I love my own, but I really don't like other people's kids. Mine somehow don't seem to register as children to my brain.

But I don't like other people's kids for the same reason I don't like house cats and dogs. I didn't feel this way before I had children of my own, but I don't want people's pets to come near me, and I don't understand the appeal of having an animal live in my house outside of, like, an aquarium.

I'm near the point of beleiving that an end to the public celebration of Thanksgiving is an acceptable price if it means that the lack of people on long weekends will send Black Friday straight into the deepest pits of hell where it belongs.

Why are there people in line at the mall near my house right now? What kind of a blazing moron stands outside Kohl's for 5 hours to save $10 on a pair of shoes?

I wish it were something that didn't suck the happiness out of those of us who aren't participating, but the traffic and the crowds make it impossible to leave the house.

It isn't non-participation that makes me hate the day. It's being on the wrong side of the madness. Best Black Friday I've had in years was staying at home sprawled across a couch watching a Criminal Minds marathon. It's the fact that stores start opening at midnight and therefore drafting employees to come in at midnight or the really fun stores that decide the best way to make Thanksgiving awesome for customers is to cease treating it as a holiday for their employees which leaves me wanting to give Black Friday a one-way, express ticket to hell. I'd rejoice at the option of non-participation.

Sorry, will stop ranting. I just really hate Black Friday.

                            Round two:
I think people are way, way to harsh on Black Veil Brides, Nickleback, Creed, and the hair metal bands when there so many more severely, horrifyingly worse bands/artists out there like ICP, Brokencyde, Rebecca Black, Soulja Boy, One Direction and pretty much every boy band out there along with many other examples.

I think people are way too hard on Silver Ravenwolf. She may not be the single greatest spiritual figure ever but we all have to start somewhere and as a starting point I think she's alright. I began with her, but moved on to many deeper writers from there.

People are way too hard on fluffy bunnies. I mean for Gods sake some of the people who claim to hate them end up saying the exact same things though perhaps phrased differently. The people who try to be everything they're not often come off as trying to shock everyone. To be honest you can find fluffyness in just about any path.

I have no sense of patriotism. I consider it pointless and a great source of suffering in the world. Granted there are there are worse places to live, but where I live is more of a matter of convenience than anything.

I think True Grit was an overrated film.

Sorry for the double post, but there is one more thing....

I consider the lack of belief in the supernatural to be a symptom intellectual laziness, paranoia, childishness, conservatism, and egocentric thought patterns.

I think that an excessive belief in the supernatural is a symptom of a complete lack of critical thinking and a serious case of special snowflake disease. No, every house you've ever lived in did not have ghosts. No, there are not fairies in your underwear drawer.

If this stuff was common, we'd have proof of it, not just teenagers and those with teenage mentality shouting about it.
