I don't either...it made it a lot easier to keep them clean and prevent infections. I got Phee's done as a baby, and she's had far less problems than I had when mine were done when I was 9.

Yeah, I was literally a tiny baby. I think my mom said days old. But in Hispanic families they do that. We get earrings and usually a gold bracelet. And then the little gold crucifix.

Southern Italians usually pierce baby girl's ears, but we're northern so I had to wait until I was 16. Then in college i added a couple more ear-piercings, on my own, using a match, a needle, ice, and lots of beer.

I was at a stop light and a woman was holding a little girl and that is the first thing on noticed on the little girl is her gold bracelet. I don't know if the males get it too but every hispanic girl I have ever known has one. Does it have any representation?

Usually it's given to you by your nino or nina (eh, your god parents) I was baptized when I was 2 and I got a bracelet. I don't know if it was engraved or not.

I've got me a bit of a beard going. Not because it's a fad, but because my wife likes it and I really don't like shaving.

When I was dating, I preferred beardless, but on strangers/friends, etc., I don't care.

A nicely groomed beard is acceptable as long as I don't have to touch it or kiss the person wearing it. I don't really like Hubby's goatee that much either. That shit pokes and tickles in awkward ways.
