That's pretty awesome XD There's quite a lot ignorance around my parts, so science and spirituality tend to butt heads.

I think thats because the scientific community makes Science difficult to understand to the the general public. But when they spend time explaining things to society and are more open towards society, the opinions start to change

For my unpopular opinion : I think all the prisioners in the prisons should work to pay the costs that the government has with them. Making roads, cleaning the forests...I mean, all the summers we used to have huge fires in the forests because people forgot to clean the forests in the winter ( private properties) and even in the state lands, the state just neglected them. Then we would have these huge fires. The same thing happened in other countries when we exchanged help with planes and helicopters to fight the fires amongst the countries. Is it so difficult to put the prisoners cleaning the forests in the winter? Or helping society in the tasks that we really need help?

People are more obsessed with having a pseudo- healthy life style, persecuting who does not follow these ideals forced by society. For example,there is almost a campaign against people that smoke (and I say this not being a smoker myself). I mean,its up to the choice of each one of us if we decide to smoke or not as long it doesn't affect other people. Instead of setting a witch hunt after anyone that does not follow the accepted rules, people should be more concerned in being more cultured, educated and less futile. It would be a better world.

I hate that DX All of this "real women have curves" nonsense needs to stop. Being called a "broomstick" can hurt just as much as being called fat. I also hate the notion that all skinny people are anorexic and "need to eat a sandwich." I'm skinny, I always have been. All of the women in my family are skinny. Doctors have tried to put me on special weight gain diets countless times, but it never works. I really can't help being skinny any more than some people can't help being fat. Besides that, I'm perfectly healthy and eat at least 3 square meals a day. I bike 2 miles across town a few times a week and make it just fine; I have plenty of energy and am in good shape. To me, that's what matters.
We ought to focus more on healthy eating and exercise rather than something as shallow as physique, anyway.

Many people around here have lots of guns and canned food, and think the gov't. is the enemy and wants to control them. And they talk about this while swigging drinks containing HFCS and eating fast food containing who-knows-what. I say - if the gov't. is really out to control us, they are doing it through our bodies first, our minds second, and our guns/property probably never.

- I do not think that the government should legalize gay marriage, per se. I think that the government should not regulate marriage at all, beyond the regulation that any other contract is subject to
- I think that seat-belt laws should be abolished
- I think that Social Security is a terrible idea, and should be trashed. I will gladly forfeit all that I have already paid into it, in order to NOT pay another dime into it. Let me invest that money that I am paying into it, as I see fit. Socialism is bad, mmmkay (and, as demonstrated by Social Security, clearly doesn't work)

- Mother Theresa did more harm than good (she was a friend of poverty, not a friend of the poor)

This new deal with birth control pills being free....they are NOT. Big pharma is manufacturing them, someone is manufacturing the plastic packaging, the paper warning leaflet, etc., and someone is shipping them to hubs, then further to individual pharmacies. Is all this related labor /electricity/gas being carried out/supplied by volunteers? I think not.

Somebody's paying.

I agree with making availability no different than for any other prescription drug, but if it's going to be no cost to the end user, then so should be some other daily meds.
