Neighbors across the street had the most amazing gentle twinkling Christmas lights across the whole front surface of their house. Not rows. Just covered like a blanket. And now they are off.

It might be a laser projection thingy. My stepdad was looking at those on the net last night. It's just a single little projector thing that sits at the front of the house and when you turn it on at night it projects pretty laser lights all over the area. No strings of lights to mess around with.

Are you guys talking about projection mapping? I recently saw some amazing displays projected onto the castle and a cathedral in Durham.. I'd love it if this is the future of Christmas decoration too!

I'd prefer it without the dumb videos playing on the garage door though... that ruins it for me. Like... you know how a child doesn't know when to stop colouring a picture and ends up ruining it? Just took it from stylish to gaudy...

I tried a rum chocolate candy today, thinking the rum would have been combined with the chocolate. Nope. Chocolate coating, liquid rum center. It was a little shocking.

Pretty much. There's only about 1/2 a teaspoon of rum in each one, so you'd get fat before you'd get drunk, but still. I told my husband that next time just give me the bottle of rum and a chocolate bar instead, and the whole process would be much more fun.

This year I'm gonna celebrate my birthday with my friends.. for the first time in my life. Yay freedom!

Well the house is empty with the exception of essentials for the boys and I to live for the next month. KP left yesterday and I was mopey for the first 3 hours but my work family didn't let that stick around. So our first night went well and we are settled into our living space. Its like camping in an apartment!!!!

Also went grocery shopping last night. I would like to say I felt like I was still in high school with all the junk I bought, and I feel no shame. I will have frozen pizza, cheese sticks, sandwiches, and hummus and crackers the whole time.
