The UP isn't quite part of the US - it's what you get when you mix Finns and Cornwallers, and plant them on limestone.

In case you are wondering what that combination consists of, it's buffalo farms.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

Somehow, "stuffed roll" sounds all the more filthy.

I was asked a question tonight by someone who shouldn't have known enough to think I might have the answer. I'm not entirely thrilled at this. It offends my inner secretive bastard.
life itself was a lightsaber in his hands; even in the face of treachery and death and hopes gone cold, he burned like a candle in the darkness. Like a star shining in the black eternity of space.

            Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

"But those men who know anything at all about the Light also know that there is a fierceness to its power, like the bare sword of the law, or the white burning of the sun." Suddenly his voice sounded to Will very strong, and very Welsh. "At the very heart, that is. Other things, like humanity, and mercy, and charity, that most good men hold more precious than all else, they do not come first for the Light. Oh, sometimes they are there; often, indeed. But in the very long run the concern of you people is with the absolute good, ahead of all else..."

John Rowlands, The Grey King by Susan Cooper

"You come from the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve", said Aslan. "And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth; be content."

I'll never be able to understand how emotion drives another human being. To me, that's too much energy. Acting on emotion irrationally leads to consequences. I'm not too fond of getting punished. Even then I still don't see the connection.

Depends on how you control your emotions. Emotion without control is a brute energy that leads only to destrction.

Not acting can also lead to consequences. I am one who follows my instinct and relies very heavily on my emotions. Thats what I am is emotions. I find it mind bogging that people hide from their emotions and repress them.

I don't hide nor repress. They're just simply not there. Part of which is why I will always fail to understand the ' letting emotions make my decisions ' thing.

                        This is terrible.
I kinda feel the same. I get thin crust pizza because too much cheese makes me feel icky. If I eat cream cheese I get the runs and awful tummy aches. And sorta the same when I drink the milk from the cereal bowl after all the Cookie crisps have melted into yummy milk.

I would die if I became lactose intolerant. I drink a quart of whole milk at work every other day. In addition to milk I drink at home or when I eat cereal. I also really love cheese. I could probably live without ice cream but thats probably about it in the dairy aisle I could go without.

I feel anger, sometimes content. I was told happiness can be the same as feeling content. I don't feel regret, remorse, or guilt. Usually it's pretty dull up there.

Contentment can sometimes be equated with happiness. Anger is a very strong emotion on its own. What follows anger?

What follows anger with me? Usually nothing. Sometimes a lot of thinking on my part. I agree anger is a strong emotion. Leads to interesting things.
